Nightlife in Canggu, Bali
Canggu is known for it’s incredible nightlife at a variety of venues, there’s literally a popular spot every night of the week!
Here’s a list of all the hotspots by day:
Mondays - Luigi’s is the Monday night go to for most in Canggu. Pizza restaurant by day, with a DJ and dance floor by night starting at 10pm. Get ready do dance the night away on the dance floor and on the table tops. Also keep an eye out for their hype man who comes around with a snorkel beer bong to make you chug your drink (I have definitely done a couple of these hahah). Unfortunately the party closes early, well for me at least! After everyone heads down to Sand bar by Old Man’s, a literal club on the beach with multiple levels and different music on each stage. Sauced up enough to get a random cheap tattoo?? Make sure to head to the upper level of the club where you’ll see people lined up either getting tattooed or waiting to get one and no…. I did not get one if you’re curious haha!
Tuesdays - If you're in Canggu on a Tuesday night, Desa Kitsuné is the place to be. With world-class DJs, incredible energy, and a lively crowd, it's one of the hottest nightlife spots in Bali. Whether you're looking to dance the night away or simply soak up the atmosphere with a cocktail in hand, Desa Kitsuné delivers an unforgettable Tuesday night experience. Don’t forget to dress to impress as they do have a dress code here!
Wednesdays -Old Man’s, Mexicola or Sand Bar are the places to be Wednesday nights! Make sure to sign up for the beer pong tourney at Old Man’s or jump on top of the tables at Mexicola with some strangers and dance the night away. The Vault is a great late night underground nightclub with Wednesday’s being hip hop night which opens at 11pm and goes till late. The location is pretty out of the way from the center of Canggu and drink prices are inflated so keep that in mind when visiting!
Thursdays - Looking for a fun night out in Canggu on a Thursday? Throwback Thursdays at Mesa is a local favorite, featuring all the best hip hop throwback hits from the '90s and 2000s. Expect a packed dance floor, great cocktails, and an energetic atmosphere that makes it the perfect spot to kick off your night or dance until the early hours.
Fridays - Friday nights in Canggu are all about Black Sand Brewery. This lively brewery and beer garden has turned in to THE spot to be on Friday nights, drawing a mix of expats, tourists, and locals looking to kick off the weekend. With live music, DJs, plenty of craft beer on tap, cocktails, and a buzzing social atmosphere, it's the perfect place to meet new people, enjoy great drinks, and experience one of Canggu's most popular Friday night hangouts.
Saturdays - Start your late afternoon with cocktails at Revolver, where a live DJ usually sets the mood around sunset, creating the perfect atmosphere to ease into the evening. From there, head to Old Man's for beachfront drinks and a lively crowd of locals, expats, and travelers before continuing the night at Motel Mexicola Canggu, where vibrant décor, high-energy music, dancing on tables, and a packed dance floor make it one of the most fun party spots in Bali. If you're still going into the early hours, Sand Bar is a popular late-night stop just down the beach.
Sundays - Sundays in Canggu are best spent soaking up the sunset at La Brisa or The Lawn. These iconic beachfront venues come alive in the afternoon as locals, expats, and travelers gather for ocean views, live DJs, cocktails, and one of the best sunset atmospheres in Bali. If you're visiting during the day, don't miss the famous La Brisa Sunday Market, where you'll find local artisans, handmade goods, clothing, jewelry, home décor, and delicious food vendors. Arrive a few hours before sunset to browse the market, grab a table, and enjoy one of the most memorable Sunday experiences Canggu has to offer.
