ITINERARY

Welcome to Uganda! Guests will arrive throughout the day into Entebbe International Airport. You’ll be picked up and transferred to your hotel to rest, meet the group, and get ready for the adventure ahead.
Overnight in Entebbe. -
Your guide will pick you up in the morning and begin the scenic journey to Kibale Forest, home to one of the highest concentrations of primates in Africa. Optional crater lakes excursion available upon arrival.

Start your day with a thrilling chimpanzee trek in the lush Kibale Forest, one of the best places in the world to see these intelligent primates in the wild. Led by an experienced ranger, you’ll hike through dense forest trails as you listen for the calls of the chimps and watch for other wildlife along the way. Once you locate a troop, you’ll spend an unforgettable hour observing their behavior up close—an experience that’s equal parts exhilarating and humbling. After lunch, continue your journey through the scenic Ugandan countryside as you transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, home to an abundance of wildlife including elephants, lions, and buffalo. If time allows, head out for a brief evening game drive to catch your first glimpse of the park’s iconic animals as the sun sets.

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive through the Kasenyi Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of the best places to spot big game. Keep your eyes peeled for lions, elephants, buffalo, warthogs, antelope, and more.
After lunch and a short rest, head out for a scenic boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which links Lake George and Lake Edward. This waterway is teeming with wildlife: watch hippos lounging in the shallows, elephants bathing along the banks, and a wide variety of colorful birds. It’s one of the most photogenic experiences of the trip.

Enjoy a scenic drive south into the remote Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, then continue on to the awe-inspiring Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Upon arrival, settle into your lodge on the edge of the forest and prepare for a cultural immersion with the Batwa community. Spend time with tribe members as they share their history, traditions, and daily life, an enriching experience that connects you with one of Uganda’s most unique cultures.

Today is the highlight of the trip: gorilla trekking! After a safety briefing at the ranger station, venture deep into the rainforest in search of one of Bwindi’s endangered mountain gorilla families. The trek can be challenging, but the reward is extraordinary—spending a full hour with these gentle giants in their natural habitat is an awe-inspiring experience you’ll never forget. After your trek, journey onward to Lake Mburo National Park, a peaceful savanna landscape dotted with acacia trees and rolling hills.

Wake up to the sounds of the bush and head out on foot for a guided walking safari—one of the few places in Uganda where you can experience wildlife this way. Accompanied by an armed ranger, you’ll walk among zebras, giraffes, impalas, and other plains game for a truly immersive encounter. After breakfast, begin your drive back to Entebbe, taking in the final views of Uganda’s diverse landscape.

Today you’ll say farewell to your group and the unforgettable landscapes of Uganda. Airport transfers will be arranged to suit each traveler’s departure time. Until the next adventure!!

A $500 non-refundable deposit must be paid in order to hold your space on the trip.
The remaining amount will be due and is non-refundable 60 days before the 1st day of your trip. In the event that you need to cancel, 50% of your deposit is refundable if you find a replacement for your spot on the trip. Refund policy will be sent once form is submitted.

Please note that our Uganda trips include gorilla and chimpanzee tracking, which requires travelers to be in good physical condition. The treks can involve several hours of hiking through dense jungle terrain, often on uneven and steep paths.
